Funeral For A Friend, Mon 4th Feb

Posted by Chris Biggs

The fact that Funeral For A Friend are playing a venue of this size may be saying something about their waning popularity, but hey, we can certainly think of another Welsh rock group who’ve lost a lot more fans recently. Despite the band having only two original members left, we’re excited to hear what their sixth album ‘Conduit’ is going to bring to the table. Main support comes from the incredible Such Gold, whose album ‘Misadventures’ was one of 2012’s pop-punk highlights.

Second Opinion
Welsh post-hardcore titans fronted by Matt Davies return to the south coast for a show of unprecedented anticipation. They are joined by Such Gold and Daytrader and suffice to say The Haunt will be rammed. With their sixth album, ‘Conduit’, set for release this year, and an almighty buzz surrounding their new material, this band’s growth is by no means stunted. Expect an exciting, penetrating and bruising show. (Lizzi Hart)

Chris decided to try his hand at writing because he was incredibly bored of working in a clothes shop. He enjoys going to punk and hardcore shows as well as the free party/squat party scene where he occasionally DJs dark drum&bass, hardcore techno and breakcore. No Gods. No Masters. No Bedtimes. Life Rules.
