Joe Armon-Jones, Sun 9th February

Posted by Steve Clements

If you were lucky enough to attend the album launch gig that Ezra Collective played last April at the sadly-closed Richmond pub you will know they blew the roof off the place. It was an electrifying show with Armon-Jones flowing from stabbing support chords to elaborate, inventive solos. A natural collaborator he remains an in-demand session and group player who continues to work with the likes of Nubya Garcia and Maxwell Owin and has been a mainstay of the Love Supreme Festival for the last couple of years.

His music covers so many genres it’s hard to define but he seamlessly fuses jazz, dub and dance rhythms into an irresistible force that has captured the hearts of music lovers everywhere. He has a way of building songs and sets like a killer DJ that lifts the crowd to ecstatic levels.

And if you are going, send Joe a photo of your ticket on Facebook and you’ll receive a free download of unreleased track ‘Aquarius’.
