Lake Malawi, Tues 26th May

A Britpop influenced band with Czech roots, London four-piece Lake Malawi follow up their recent Great Escape show with a free gig at Hotel Pelirocco. Singer Albert Cerny previously fronted two-times MTV Europe Music Award winners Charlie Straight, no strangers to The Great Escape themselves. Forgoing Prague for Upper Holloway, Lake Malawi got together a couple of years back, amassing over 20k fans on Facebook for their direct, tuneful pop. Support at the Pelirocco show comes from Brighton trio Phantom Runners.
