Denver-based Travis Egedy has released two fascinating albums as Pictureplane, reassembling fragments of his memories of early 90s house and rave sounds into a dreamlike present. With fetish sexuality songtitles and imagery and the odd deployment of magic eye artwork, it would be easy to dismiss Pictureplane as tongue in cheek dabbling, were it not for the deep love of the source material that surfaces time and again within the music.
