Dexys, Thurs 20th Sept

Sep 13, 2012

Posted by Jake Kennedy

Too many bands with only half the discography of Dexys are reforming, but these Brummies never split – despite leaving 26 years between albums. Instead they condensed, and on ‘One Day I’m Going To Soar’, performed in its entirety tonight, Kevin Rowland and co find themselves older but not necessarily any more mature. Hits are promised in the second half too, so expect flapping theatrics, flat caps, a coy conversational tone and sharp suits. And ‘Geno’ too, possibly.
