Dutch Uncles, 11th March

Promoting the release of their fifth album last month, Manchester alt-rock indie-pop outfit Dutch Uncles set out on a UK tour that stops at Brighton’s Haunt. The album, ‘Big Balloon’, inspired by both Bush and Bowie, dusted with hints of an Eastern-European techno beat, is another leftfield follow-up to their acclaimed 2015 release ‘O Shudder’.

Though they they don’t appear to have reached the headline-grabbing popular mainstream, 2015 also saw them support the European leg of Garbage’s ’20 Years Queer’ tour, and they’re a staple stalwart of 6 Music; with their current tour culminating in festival appearances at both Standon Calling and the BBC Radio 6 Music Festival in Glasgow this year.

We won’t be missing their Haunt show, and neither should you.
