Gaggle, Thurs 29th Nov

Gaggle aren’t your typical choir. They’d rather sing about lying boyfriends and ciggies than Jesus. The 21-strong girl choir was formed by classically-trained Deborah Coughlin and specialises in theatrical, mass voiced anthems, backed with percussion, synths and Afro-drums. Their rainbow costumes are as brash as their compositions with their designer Ampheta fusing together Geisha, voodoo doll and superhero. Following the release of their debut album ‘From The Mouth Of The Bat’ earlier this year, the experimental choir will be bringing their show to Brighton at the end of the month.
