Since releasing their debut LP ‘Giving In’ earlier this year, Club Kuru have been turning heads with their chilled and psychedelic pop tunes. We took a midweek jaunt to Brighton’s intimate bar venue to find out what all the noise was about.

Brighton-based cosmic-pop unit Yumi And The Weather opened up the night with a polished set of dreamy tracks and dance tunes to set the mood.

Club Kuru frontman Laurie Erskine gave a passionate performance, accompanied by funky guitar hooks and sparkling keyboard synths as the band glided effortlessly from one feelgood track to another. As winter rolls in, Club Kuru provided the last of the summer vibes with a truly outstanding set showcasing everything the band has worked for up to this point.
